虽然是what if式的历史剧，每个议题每场对白都能在现实中找到对应。我对于全剧有很强的代入感。真正的阴谋，无论正义与否，在剧中只是一笔带过，成为阴谋论的谈资，全剧着眼点始终在Herman，妻子beth，妻妹Evelyn，侄子Alvin，两个儿子Sandy和Phillip上。以家庭为视角说明浪潮对于族裔的冲击，种种政治作秀和谎言给家人造成了不断的冲突，结局回归主旋律，要人们去信任系统的自我纠偏。影片台词也是极为震撼，you guys just sit there and talk but do nothing。
